The sound of the Catalan Rebec has almost disappeared from his ancestral environment, using the momentum of the research and recovery of historical and folk instruments, now is the time to rescue the Catalan Rebec from the oblivion.
It was part of the Catalan musical tradition long before other bowed string instruments.
Re-experience the feelings apparently archaic but perhaps closer than we think, and exploring the old and new possibilities of Rebecs is the aim of this duet.
Ishtar Olmo and Gerard Alís -musicians with extensive experience in and out of folk music-, will be in charge to offer this show with a repertoire linked to the context of the instrument.
